Unexpected Hope
Oran Hope, an 80-year-old widower, walks outside the hospital after a doctor’s appointment. In that particular moment he is thinking about all the medicines he has to buy. He is remembering the time when he didn’t have to, when his muscles where strong and when he could walk freely without a cane. During this past few years, often he has been feeling blue after his beloved wife left this world leaving him without warmth and the melody of her voice in his life. He has forgotten about how it felt to have her next to him, he at some point believed in eternity and that he will meet her again in that perfect place. But in days like this, Oran will only see the blue gloomy sky matching the greyish cold colours of the city, and everything passing around him are just like shadows walking in different directions, he has lost hope. Until something unexpected happened, in between those passing shadows (people) was a young lady playing the saxophone at the corner of the street. Suddenly the sound of her music or the ambience of the melody enter into him. His world began to change, the new colours painted the sky and everything around, making his mood transform just like the sky and its sunset. He remembers once again, this time because of the music. Oran took his cane up and began to walk with a cheerful dancing movement. That afternoon, His previous reality transitioned in to an everlasting hope.

Cebolla Morada
One day I was experimenting with an onion and I realize that I really liked the patterns of it and the way it resembles to spirals/labyrinth. I kind of believe we are like the onions (like Shrek said), we have layers until we reach to the soul. So in this animation I want to transmit a person’s soul dealing with anxiety or negativity/pressure that society or we put into ourselves. And at the end I just want to show hope and peace that we can find when we struggle with things in life.
A Line Going for a Walk
Experimenting with one line drawings to take the audiences into a journey of time and emotions.
